Roger G. Berlin, MD, FACP, FACG - Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Berlin has over 20 years of drug development experience in multiple therapeutic categories, which have led to numerous NDA, sNDA and MRP approvals. Prior to joining Arno Therapeutics, Dr. Berlin was President, Global R&D at Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, the $2.7 billion non-prescription division of Wyeth, from 1998 to 2008, previously serving in various positions of increasing responsibility since 1994. While at Wyeth, Dr. Berlin was responsible for the development and successful clinical testing and registration of multiple NDAs, sNDAs and MRP approvals. He led a 400+ person organization comprised of diverse functions including clinical research, medical affairs, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, formulation and analytical development, project planning and new business development. Dr. Berlin served on the divisional senior leadership team, was an instructor for the corporate leadership training program, served on the Consumer Health Products Association scientific leadership group and was Wyeth's lead presenter for several key FDA advisory committee meetings.

Prior to joining Wyeth, Dr. Berlin served in a variety of leadership roles in prescription drug development at Merck from 1985 to 1994. He was head of global clinical research operations, a group of approximately 225 that conducted clinical studies in all therapeutic areas worldwide. In 1994, he led the first external course for the Chinese FDA that covered GCP, clinical study design and data interpretation. Previous to that assignment, Dr. Berlin was head of international regulatory liaison, responsible for registration strategy development and execution in a wide variety of therapeutic areas. During his time at Merck, Dr. Berlin served on many key leadership committees and groups and was involved in two inter-company collaborations that led to successful marketed products. Prior to his tenure at Merck, Dr. Berlin was in private practice in the area of gastroenterology.

Dr. Berlin holds a BS in Biology from Queens College, CUNY, an MD from Cornell-Weill Medical College and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He serves on the advisory board of the Pharmaceutical MBA program at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and JRG Ventures. Dr. Berlin received research grants from NIH and the Bank of America-Giannini Foundation. He has published extensively, served as a reviewer to numerous journals and served on the national research committee of the American Gastroenterological Association.





Scott Z. Fields, MD - President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Fields has over 12 years of industry experience heading clinical programs. Prior to joining Arno, he was Global Vice President for all therapeutic areas at Eisai (2002 - 2007) where he was responsible for forming their global clinical oncology group. Prior to that, he was Head of the Oncology Therapeutic area for Amgen from 2000 to 2002. From 1995 to 2000, he was Head of Oncology Development and Medical Affairs in North America for Smithkline Beecham, where his group was responsible for the development of Topotecan, the first approved camptothecin. Dr. Fields and his teams have been involved in the development of a number of oncology agents, which include Bexxar, Aranesp, Neulasta, Panitumomab and Kepivance. He is a former Assistant Professor of Medicine, co-director of Bone Marrow Transplant, and Head of Intramural Research at SUNY Upstate Medical Center (1991-1995). In addition, Dr. Fields was involved in the development of the RECIST criteria now routinely used to evaluate response of cancer to treatment. In 2003 and 2004, he was a faculty member of the AACR/ASCO Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop. He has been an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center from 2003 - present. Dr. Fields received his M.D. from SUNY Downstate and trained in Internal Medicine, Oncology and Hematology at Columbia University Medical Center.





Brian Lenz, CPA - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Lenz has over 10 years of financial and operational experience in addition to significant capital raising and merger and acquisition and other strategic activities. Prior to joining Arno Therapeutics, he was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at VioQuest Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (2004-2008), and prior to that served as the company's controller from 2003 to 2004, where he was responsible for financial and operational reporting, as well as capital raising and merger and acquisition activities. Prior to VioQuest, Mr. Lenz was a controller with Smiths Detection Group from 2000 to 2003 where he was responsible for corporate and operational financial reporting and consolidation of its international operations, in addition to being responsible for the information technology and human resources functions. Mr. Lenz was a senior auditor with KPMG, LLP from 1998 to 2000, where he was responsible for supervising audits of healthcare and financial services companies both publicly traded and privately held. Mr. Lenz holds a BS in Accounting from Rider University and received his MBA from Saint Joseph's University. Mr. Lenz was recognized as a CFO finalist for the New Jersey Technology Council CFO Awards - Deal of the Year for 2006, as a result of Mr. Lenz's contributions to VioQuest's capital raising and merger and acquisition strategies. Mr. Lenz has also been the chair of the finance committee for Biotech 2006 and 2007. Mr. Lenz is a certified public accountant licensed in the State of New Jersey.





J. Chris Houchins - Vice President of Clinical Operations

Mr. Houchins has over 16 years of clinical operations and drug development experience focusing in oncology. From 2004 to 2006, Mr Houchins was the Director of Specialty Care - Clinical Project Management at Schering-Plough, where he was involved with the FDA and European submissions and approvals of Temozolomide, the standard of care for patients with GBM. From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Houchins was on the Searle Celebrex Oncology Team that received FDA approval for familial adenomatous polyposis ("FAP"), a new indication in oncology. After the merger of Searle and Pharmacia & Upjohn, he oversaw the development and clinical operations for the Global Celebrex Oncology Program that grew to over 300 clinical and pre-clinical trials world-wide within 2 years. When Pfizer, Inc acquired Pharmacia Corp., Mr. Houchins was selected as Director - Team Leader of Oncology Clinical Operations overseeing all eight oncology compounds (Camptosar®, Aromasin®, Ellence®, Celebrex®, Emcyt®, Zavedos®, Trelstar® and Zinecard®) encompassing over 500 clinical and pre-clinical studies. In addition, he was appointed to the Pfizer Global Oncology Advisory Board. Mr. Houchins also has six years of experience as a Clinical Research Manager at The RUSH Cancer Institute in Chicago where he managed clinical trials across all tumor types including Ovarian Cancer using Topotecan. He is certified by examination through SoCRA and ACRP as a Certified Clinical Research Associate, Coordinator and Professional and holds a BS in Economics from Northern Illinois University.





Stefan Proniuk - Director, Product Development

Dr. Proniuk has over 10 years of experience in formulation and product development. Prior to joining Arno, he was the Sr. Manager of Pharmaceutical Technologies at Neurocrine Biosciences (2002-2008) where he was responsible for overseeing development programs from Phase I to III. His group was also responsible for the preformulation of NCEs. Prior to his work at Neurocrine, Dr. Proniuk worked as a scientist at Cima Labs (2001-2002) on the development and scale-up of fast dissolving tablet formulations (OraSolv®, DuraSolv®). Throughout his career he has worked on 2 NDAs, 5 INDs and 3 marketed products. Dr. Proniuk holds a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Arizona, a MBA with emphasis in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University and a Diplom (FH) in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnical University Isny in Germany. He is also certified in Intellectual Property Law from the University of California San Diego.
